First Star Wars 3-Dimensional motion picture release planned for 2012

It was announced lately the entire “Star Wars” catalog is being edited for a launch of “Star Wars” 3-d run. Digital 3-d editing is going to be applied to each of the “Star Wars” films. The very first installment is due out in 2012. The films could be released in sequence according to the plot. The last three films that can be launched in the 3-d run will be the original trilogy, so the prequels will naturally be first.

Nearly time to watch ‘Star Wars’ in 3-dimensional

Hollywood has exploded with three dimensional films, or rather giving the illusion of three dimensions. ”Avatar” and “Clash of the Titans” are just two of the biggest hits to have come out in both two dimensional and three dimensional versions within the last few years. The technology has come out to help make “Star Wars” 3-dimensional with George Lucas and Industrial Light and Magic. According to The Telegraph, Lucas film insists that it will not be a rush job. Each and every detail within the series can be turned 3-d. This is going to improve the overall quality of all of the films.

2012 will be when the very first one is launched

The “Star Wars 3-D” movie will be released as “Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.” The chronological order of the story can be followed as the series is released. The release date is not yet determined for sure. 2012 is the year the company is heading for. It is just a goal though. According to The Hollywood Reporter, George Lucas had not been convinced yet of the merits of current 3-d technology. After he saw “Avatar,” he decided for making the change. The length between releases has not been determined. Nobody has said anything about it.

Making sure movie theaters have the technology

Theaters have to get up to date. Too most are still lagging with only 2-D projections. Each year, about 500 are added to be 3-d capable. This technology is blossoming into its adolescence as more films are released in 3-D. There isn’t any update on whether “Indiana Jones” or “Clone Wars” series will become 3-dimensional anytime soon.
